Card fo Di Hickman

This weeks card 'Diagram' was great to do, I am in love with my new Papertrey Cup Cakes stamps and this diagram enabled me to use them!! The pink background paper is by K and Co, called chocolate Neapolitan. I have used chalk inks to stamp with and some stickles glue to decorate the cakes.
I love the sentiment - 'Life is too short , eat dessert first!!'

Card for Di Hickmans Blog!

This weeks card includes circles, Arggggghhhhh I don't have fun working with circles!! Anyway I have had a go and the results are not too bad!

I haven't stuck to it exactly, I used two circles and to make them stand out I chalked the edges with blue chalk ink. All the papers used are from Papermania, sweet Nothings range, so they all go together nicely. The paper dots are really useful shame I can't remember where I got them from!!!

Please take a look at Di's blog and see all the other versions.

Card for Di Hickmans Blog.

I have been making cards for Di's Blog for some time now, unfortunately towards the end of last year, there was so much going on that i found it hard to fulfil all my commitments, so I am going to try really hard this year to keep on top of it.Every month Di sends me 4 card diagrams and I make them into real life cards. The only rule is that it is based on the design she sends, although you can turn it anyway you like. This one I copied as it was.

Below is my card, all the papers are by Papermania, Sweet nothings collection. The ribbon by Paper mania, I printed the greeting on the PC, I used chalk ink on the edges. It was really quick to do and easy when you have a design to follow, give it a go!

Card for Di Hickman

I liked this blueprint to work from, its easy to get into a rut and stick with familiar things , this one made me use circles, which is hard for me!!Made with a scrap of paper fro the background, the candles are epoxy stickers from paper cellar (bought at Papermill) the writing was carried out with a white Sakura Souffle pen. I love white pens!!

I found all these bits on my craft table, I had used the ingredients in other cards that I have been making recently!!

Card For Di Hickman...

I am very pleased with how this one turned out (That sounds awfully big headed, but I had struggled with the design!) I again used scraps from my craft table, the main paper and green spotty is sugar plum double sided, but I can't remember who made it. The pink back ground paper came as part of a kit from a local book store. The flowers are Prima. Part of the design was to write the greeting and I used a Sakura Souffle pen in white.

Card For Di Hickmans Blog

Its been a while since I have done any card making, one thing and another has got in the way and stopped me from making anything. But I have now cleared my crafting table and have 'got my finger out' . I want to say thank you to Di for waiting for me during my down time and I promise to try and keep up this time!!
This card is made with scraps, the green and pink on the lower right is from a double sided sheet of card called Sugar Plum. The ribbon is by The East of India company, The flower is prima, and the greeting is from a sheet by craft creations.

Card For Di Hickmans Blog.

This design was one that I didn't find too easy!! I am not a huge fan of circles really. In the end I was quite happy with it, circles do make a change sometimes.

The papers are by crafters companion and papermania the letter are studio G stamps and the cake stickers are by GCS International. A little chalk ink around the edges. I hope you like it, take a look at the rest of the cards over on Di's blog.

I have got back into making cards from the designs that Di Hickman posts on her blog every week. I went through a spell where I didn't have the time to do any, but I do like having the deadline to work to.

This card has been made using KI Memories word paper, some printable paper from Crafters companion. The dots are from Craftwork cards, they are fun different coloured dome shaped 'thingies' very useful. The cake sticker is by GCS International, Letter stamps by studio G.

Hope you like it!!

New baby Card - Di Hickman Blog

I have made this card using the very versatile Crafters Companion CD Roms. These cd's have loads of printable card elements in lots of different colourways, they are simple to use and look very effective! So the gingham paper and the buttons paper is from a cd. the blossom is a stray found on my desk as is the button. I have used Studio G letter stamps and a black zig marker to do the doodles.

Card for Di Hickman

This is my offering for Di Hickman's blog. I have really used scraps from my craft table stuff that was lying around. Last year I visited Eindhoven with my family, I found a fabulous little book shop that sold loads of craft stuff for very reasonable prices. I bought lots of 6x6 pads, they are great for cards and were so cheap it would have been a crime not to have stocked up. So the background paper is from one of those pads, the pink check is from a crafters companion printable disk. The sentiment is from a random collection of sentiments from my stash, as is the flower.

I like this template!!! I decided to use this pretty 'Stampendous' Spring stamp coloured in with twinkling H2O's. The patterned paper is from a pad I bought in a shop in Holland last year and I found the holey sticky paper in my stash, I have no idea where I got that from!!!
