Away from Home!!

This past few days I have 'Been away'!! It started last Friday when we took advantage of our Sun special holiday offer, weekend away for £9 each person. We ended up with a great break in a caravan in Corton on the east coast between Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth.
The Caravan and site was very nice, with a big 'heated' swimming pool (not hot at all!!) A slide, a babies pool. Inside there was a club house and an arcade. We spent Saturday at the pleasure beach in Great Yarmouth which pleased Beth. We got burnt even though the sun wasn't out!!
Sunday we went out for the day with Fran, Pete and Becca. We had not seen them for years. It was our wedding anniversary (23 years) and Pete was our Best Man and Becca was one of the bridesmaids, so it was a great reunion.
We went out for lunch (their treat) at a fantastic restaurant called St Peters Brewery, in the middle of nowhere in Bungay. The food was great and the company was even better!!
After a very long lazy lunch we headed back to their place and sat in the garden chatting and drinking tea!Before we knew it, it was 10pm and I am sure we out stayed our welcome.
It was a fantastic day and it felt as if we had never been away for several years!! (caused by the distance and not the lack of friendship!!)
I am now on a course in Bury St Edmunds, staying at a lovely little hotel in the middle of the town. Three other folk from the course are also staying so I was able to eat out with them last night.We may well go to the pictures tonight !!
