Try Something New.......
I really enjoy all sorts of craft and I am always on the lookout for new and different things to turn my hand to. This month is my 25th Wedding Anniversary and we are having a party at the beginning of next month. This got me thinking about the arrangements for my Wedding and how we had to do things on a shoestring. A balance between what we wanted and what we could afford. I cut the costs by making all the bridesmaid dresses, using silk flowers I made the bouquets and button holes. I also made paper flower arrangements for the tables.
So planning for my Wedding Anniversary Party got me thinking about what we would do this time around. So a search of the Internet for paper flowers gave me lots of ideas. I had a go at making Paper Roses. I am really pleased with the results and I think I am going to use them for my table decorations!! - I am still in the experimental stages and I think I may well add some real leaves from the garden for a bit of interest.
These were made out cream Tesco bargain serviettes 77p for 50 enough to make 100 roses!!!

*THUD* Lyzzy, you are AMAZING! These are totally absolutely gorgeous! And all the stuff you did for your wedding...WOW!
Wow, they're fab!
Love those roses - they look so realistic. I would never of known they were made from serviettes if you hadn't said so.
When I first saw the roses I loved them! I like to do crafts as well, though I prefer cross-stitch counted needlework. Unfortunately it takes over an hour to do a square inch sometimes.
Very perty!!!
You need to teach us how to do those ..they are brill!
25 Years! WOW! That's awesome, congratulations.
I love the roses. Give us the link for them! I'm sure they will be a smashing hit at your party!
I know I'm a bit late, but these are AWESOME!! I want some ;)
