My Town Monday - View from My Trampoline

Well this weeks entry for My Town Monday is a very personal take on the theme. On Sunday afternoon, I was taking it easy outside on my daughters trampoline, you know, hot day, cold drink, Sunday newspaper, wracking my brain for this weeks entry. I really wasn't too keen on going back inside to research anything about my town, so I have decided that you will get a very up close and personal version.
I live in a small street in the town of Welwyn Garden City. We have a very small back garden which is somewhat dominated by the huge trampoline. It has killed off all the grass underneath and to be honest I wasn't too keen on having it in the first place. Last year I was off work after an operation which was right at the beginning of the summer, the kids were at school and I suddenly realised that it made a fantastic sunbed!!
Yesterday afternoon I took my camera out and spent half an hour observing what I could see from my sunbed. This is what I found.....
We are on the flight path of two major London Airports, Luton and Stansted, plus the local Panshanger Airfield. As a result I counted 47 planes of all sizes flying in 'my' airspace. I was surrounded by flowers, mainly roses which are my favourites, the red ones are right by the trampoline. I even got to watch some bees gathering nectar from 'another plant' (ashamed to say I have no idea what it is!!)
At the end of the half an hour I was joined by my daughter, who ended my peace and evicted me from the sunbed.
I even caught the sun while doing my research!!!

Brilliant ! That's the only reason we got our two one - as you said perfect sunbed where the ants in the garden can't get to you easily !!

This is fabulous, Lyzzydee! And a great idea. We also have one of those large trampolines. #2 daughter reads on it all the time (her idea of heaven), and we even have a tent that goes on top of it.

The only good purpose for trampolines--resting.

My wife uses our trampoline for sunbathing and I only get on i tot wrestle the boys but they are starting to get rough so my days might be numbered.

Good job on your post. Simple, but perfect. Mine made my crazy after a while trying to think of something to write about.

Laying back to watch the world go by. Perfect.

Love the photo's and what a gorgeous sky you captured.

Can really relate to the trampoline and the dead grass!!! Never thought of using it as a sunbed though!

Very cool perspective! You don't know how many people you've probably inspired to do this exact thing! LOL

Have a great day!
