Laura's Birthday

19th of October was Lauras 21st Birthday. We went around after I got home from work and took her a birthday cake and presents. Nan and Grandad bought her some new towels. We gave her some smellies and a bracelet. Plus some money as she wanted a new game.
She seemed very happy, Scott hadn't bought her anything yet, he said because he had to pay up for a HUGE rat cage which takes up half the room. The rat seems a bit lost in it!!

Beth and I made some Fairy Cakes, we had great fun doing it, but the mess and the fact that they were eaten almost immediately by the hungry hoards!! We made plain iced fairy cakes and some Apple cinnamon muffins. Yum Yum !!

I have swapped!!!

Well I have signed up for a google account and swapped to Beta, lets see if I can break that now !!

I have had another one of those weeks, why is it that things that should work just don't?? why do I feel that its happening on purpose just to p me off?? We have had Sky plus installed and the changer said the batteries were on the way out, so we change the batteries and the changer refuses to work. Tried a reset, but nothing. Phoned Beeping Sky who want to hold me in a 52 minute 0870 queue. So phoned this morning to be told that there is a batch of duff remotes, and once the batteries are out the simply die. They will send me another one in '5 to 7 working days madam' I am so bloody angry why to we always get the shit stuff??

Its also doing odd things by failing to record, isn't that the whole purpose of the bloody thing ???

I think I might explode, perhaps its my age, I can't cope with any hassle anymore.

This week was Carls 16th Birthday, 16 ???? where has that time gone?? it seems minutes since he was my darling little baby, and a toddler with white blonde hair and bright blue eyes, now he is a strapping lad. I am getting old!

I took this shot of Beth when we were out looking for Conkers, shame we didn't find too many !!

I'm getting worse!!

Its been such a busy month that I have not got around to doing much on my blog, I haven't done much of anything really.
I took beth out to look for some conkers last week, but we must have been a few weeks too early as they were few and far between. We did manage a few but will have to go back again.
Scrapbooking has come to a halt, I have photos but no inspiration. Will have to try and get back in the groove.
This weekend we have been car hunting, we have decided that it is time to see if we can upgrade the hijet. Carl finds it very cramped in the back, but really he just hates it, it doesn't have street cred and he would love us to have something far more hip and happening. We have looked at a galaxy, which I liked, a Frontera estate and sport. We were not keen on the estate, but the sport was nice, roomy inside and the bonus of having a soft top which pushed it right up the street cred scale. Now we will have to do some serious looking to see what we can find.

Whooops!!!!

I have let my blog slip, don't seem to have been able to keep up with it too much. Work has been busy and the things that are happening there have been staying in my mind for too long, can't seem to to leave it at work anymore. Thats a big worry, because I can only be there to ensure fair play, I can't change the way people have behaved. Icanonly ensure that they are dealt with properly !

Its now the weekend and I have been doing my housework, did the shopping, and sat down to make some beautiful glass bead bracelets. (I think they are gorgeous!!) Guess what my female friends and rellies will be getting for christmas this year ??

I have really enjoyed making them, I have discovered a new bead shop in Knebworth, this means that I can pop out and stock up on the things I have run out of. How is it that translates into 20 quid a time ????

Still a bargain.

Perhas someone can explain to me how it is cheaper to buy 280 beautiful glass beads from China than it is from down the road? I think these bracelets are going to turn out to be fantastic value.

Bloody Hell.. What a day..

Today has been a terrible day, nothing life threatening or anything but none the less a very stressful time.
I had arranged for NTL to call and move a digi box, and at the same time for Sky to install Sky Plus. NTL went without a hitch, but the Sky bloke decided the best way to route the cable to the second box was to use the NTL cable, there by disconnecting my PC and phone and TV.
I was not impressed, infact I now have a raging headache and want to do someone some damage!
I have had to spend an age on the phone to Sky who are absolutely useless and offered me an early appointment of the 15th of Septemeber to rectify the problem. I think not.
So the short version is I have had to be 'talked through' the complete reset of my win sock settings (I have no idea what they are) and I now am back on line. Beyond that what am I to do, I feel stressed and fed up. Why is it always us??

Last Communion layout

This layout is a scraplift from CK (this months) I have finally finsihed scrapping Beths first holy communion, which has not been a chore, but there have been loads of photos and I wanted to include them all. I am pleased with this layout even though it has peel offs on it, (I know I have lost it using peel offs) But it is very subtle and now its been scanned you can barely see them anyway!

Up bright and early.

Well today I am tired but I don't feel so fed up, so perhaps it was the combination of being tired and the drink. I don't have a hang over though.

Yesterday I decided to order a router so that I can go wireless. I now have a laptop essentially for work, but I can use it at home. Up until now I have been a bit naughty and have been using an insecure network that was near by. (I could get it in the front room but not the back room) Saturday morning I went to use it again when I could not find it. The wizard thing could find the usual 5 secured networks but not the one insecure one. The only thing that has changed is that one of the neighbours moved on Friday, so I guess it was their network. Bloody inconsiderate I'd say.

Anyway we are on NTL and I ended up taking advice from them and buying through them, they were quite competitive and I only need the router as the laptop is already enabled.

Watch this space for its arrival and subsequent problems getting it to work.

SCRAPPING
Well after going through a bit of a lean time I think I am back on track. Over the weekend I have done loads and although its not magazine quality, I am happy and that's what counts!!

Why is it ????

Well today has been quite a reasonable day, I have managed to do some more scrapping which has pleased me. Beth has been around to Hannahs to play and then Hannah has come back for a sleep over. My best holiday friends have been over for a drink and a few nibbles, bringing Ryanne and we have had a very pleasant evening,

SO

Why is it I feel so pissed off?? Perhaps its the drink, although I have not had a lot, perhaps its being told that I am a horrible mother by my daughter because I can't take her out to the pictures all the time like some of her friends mums. Perhaps its the constant arguing between the kids that is getting me down.

I have a lot to be thankful for, and I enjoyed going to Church this morning after missing a few weeks, it was great that Beth came and she took up the offertory. So why do I feel so pissed off and feel life is passing me by??

Here are a few more photographs from my holiday, This is trip that we did to D'Apremont Chateau in Vendee. It was a very informative visit, with an English option thank goodness.
Its a very pretty chateau dating from 1534. It was built by Philippe Chabot de Brion. This guy was very rich and powerful. He was also an experienced sailor, so he decided to build this Chateau and divert the river Vie to run along the base of his chateau. This was not wholly successful. Looking around the grounds was good, we looked into the underground cool room, which had been carved out of the rock, and was actually quite cold even though the day was boiling hot!

The Villa!

This is it, well the outside at least. It does look very nice inside according to the photographs as well!!

http://www.florida-sunsetridge.com/details.php

This holiday is going to be great fun, Wendy (my ex next door neighbor ) has never been before, so she is very excited as are her kids, Hannah and Lee.

We are going to have fun deciding exactly what we are going to do. Yesterday I finally got to speak to my friend Madeline ,they have just got back from there and found it very hot in July. We did say that we would never go in July/August ever again as it is so exhausting. She stayed in a villa and said it was very relaxing and great to have your own pool to use after a long hard slog in the parks!

I'm so excited and its over a year away!!

Good Productive Weekend

After a weekend of self doubt, I have decided that I still love scrapping and that I should get on with scrapping for me and not worry too much about whether they are cutting edge , ultra trendy or stuffed full of embellishments.
After all I scrap to display my photos.
I think that I need to keep my eye on the fact that I want to improve my photos and that they should be the focal point, a good photo doesn't need lots of dressing up.
So yesterday I managed to do 5 double layouts. I am pleased as that has got me over a glitch.
The photos that I want to get started on are Beths First Holy Communion and now I am clear to do those I am happy!
Its quite weird this weekend, as Tom is working. Just about all our married life I have been the weekend worker but now his new job has him working one weekend in two, while I am for the first time every weekend off!

Earlier in the week I finally booked a villa for our holiday next year in Florida. We are going to stay in a villa in Sunset Ridge. The first one and preferred villa ended up being unavailable for the dates that we wanted, so this is our second choice. That said it looks beautiful and I have spoken to the owner who seems to be very helpful. I was a bit cheeky when I did the search and asked for a 5 bedroom villa with games room, pool, internet, pool heating, cleaning and tax included for less than £1000 (which works out to £100 per person for the two weeks) Well we had a few replies, but on talking to this villa owner it became obvious that he had reduced his prices to make sure he met our criteria!

We are so looking forward to it, shame we have to wait to October 2007!

I have no idea what is happening with Blogger but I am still having trouble uploading photographs !! So here we go again, here are 4 of my recent layouts that I entered into a competition on the pad. I got lots of nice comments, but was not a prize winner !!!
I did enjoy doing them and I must really try and get my mojo back, it seems to have left me and I just can't find it. I think a lot of it is to do with the shed loads of photos that I have to wade through !!

While we were away the kids had a go on the climbing adventure playground. At the first camp there was one on site. The girls were not big enough for it, but the boys were, so again they got kitted up and swung through the trees. This activity is such a great idea, I am amazed that we don't have anything similar in England.
Carl completed the course this time, Ross was not able to do the final zip wire, he was exhausted! I am always amazed at just how well they do, its not something I would EVER have considered!

Trouble with Photographs.....

I have been trying to upload photos to my blog but its just not working ! Perhaps it is the site today that is at fault! How I am going to be able to show you all my holiday pics????

We're back !!

We have arrived back from a very pleasant break in a very sunny France. We had great company in the shape of Dina and Rick Dolan and their kids Ross and Ryanne.

The crossing from Poole to St Malo was one of the roughest we have ever had the misfortune to be on. The boat was pitching from side to side and the whole place stunk of sick!

We started off at the huge Des Ormes campsite in Dol de Bretagne. We got off to a bad start at the site, when a little girl was bought in with a very obviously broken arm, the staff suggested that she was taken to hospital by the parents who had no idea where to take her. The poor thing was screaming and I was very tearful, with hearing her distress and arriving after a long journey.
Thankfully the Canvas courier got involved with her and got things sorted.

The weather was a bit miserable for the first few days but the kids still enjoyed it, going on the pedaloes, swimming and climbing through the trees. Beth went to hoopi club and spent happy evenings playing in the park.

One thing struck me was the massive game of football going on on the all weather pitch. There must have been 50 kids on each side!! It looked chaotic but no one seemed to fall out and they all enjoyed themselves!!

On Holiday.

Well here we are in the middle of our holiday and we are having a great time, weather is good and the sites have been fine. I am now sitting in a bar by the pool accessing the internet!!

We have been all over and spent time in the sea and at the pool. The kids seems to be enjoying themselves and thats what counts.

This is a quick check in as the connection is dodgy!!

Been Shopping.......

Today I have been scrap shopping, Hurrah, been ages since I have had a good scrap shop!
I went to a shop in watford and bought a few new things to play with. I have restocked my supply of brads with some very pretty brads that are spotty and some that are flowery.

I have also been scrapping again, this scrap pad competition has really spurred me on !!

The weather is on the turn , with big grey clouds over head. I am glad it seems to be a bit cooler and less humid.

This week is going t be busy, with Laura and Wendy both on the move. They are both going to need a hand, but we will be on holiday for Lauras one. Fingers crossed that all goes well!!

I've been playing with my camera !!

I have been hanging around my hanging baskets and managed to capture a buzzy bee landing on one of my petunias!! I am so pleased with my baskets this year, we were not able to devote as much time and energy to them due to dad being in hospital. None the less they have turned out very nice and are so pretty.

Good News for Laura at last

After a long string of failed interviews, Laura has finally managed to secure a full time job as a cashier at Barclays in town. Hurrah, thanks to Richard for getting her the interview. Hopefully she will start on the 8th of August.
More good news, Wendy has decide to move on from the flat that she rents and Laura and Scott have applied to the land lord to move in. Well after doing all the credit checks, it has been confirmed that they can have the flat !!! So today they handed in their notice at Wrights and started planning for the big move. Unfortunately we will be on holiday when they move, but Scotts dad has said he will help them.
So positive things happening at last. We have booked the holiday flights for October next year, with the express idea that Laura will have to stick with the job until then at least !!

Happy Birthday Mum !!

Happy Birthday Mum !! 71 years young !

Yesterday was mums birthday, we bought her a pack of scrapbooking paper, some beautiful roses, a chewy toy for when Ben arrives and a pooper scooper!!

We took her a birthday cake and sang the famous birthday song!!

Many Happy Returns.

Panshanger Childrens Fete!!

Every year just befopre the summer holidays the children of Panshanger School organise and run a 'Kids Fete' Its always messy, its always fueled by sweets, its always scorching hot and its always FUN. As ususal the night before the fete Beth suddenly 'Rememebered' that she had agreed to provide the prizes for her stall, which was a 'keepy up' competition with prizes for infants and juniors.
Luckily Morrisons had a pack of balls suitable for prizes, so we were set up. Oddly they decided to change everyone 12p a go. It didn't take them too long to realise that the odd amount was going to test their maths skills to the limits everytime they needed to give change, so they reduced it to 10p !!!
As always it was boiling hot but they all did well and enjoyed themselves and made over £400 which is going towards the new playground equipment that they all want so badly!

Pre Crop on the Pad.

I have not done any scrapping for ages and at last a competition has got me on track again.
On the scrap pad we have been given a pre crop challenge, which is great as I am away for the main crop. I intend to enter all the rounds and Debbie has given me a chance to send the week I am away directly to her!
It has been so hot that it has been hard to scrap, mainly because I have to have a fan on to keep cool and that blows everything everywhere!
Last night Beth had Emma sleep over so today is payback time and Beth is around Emmas. Gives Tom and I a bit of peace. Hurrah !! Carl is still festering in bed so all is peaceful.

Been a bit busy this week.

I don't know where this week has gone, I have been flat to the boards at work and have not had a spare minute to myself. Beth has had her sports day and the Active Alligators came first. They have been there or abouts for a few years but finally cracked it this year !!

Been missing for a while.......

Since getting back from Bury I have been busy busy busy !!
I returned to 140 emails at work , all too much to deal with really.
I am really missing Steph, its nice to have someone to share the load with.
Work has been generally busy with lots of unpleasant things going on resulting in some extra long hours for me. I am hoping to get some catch up time tomorrow.
Tom has started his new job and due to confusion he thought today was a training day, but in fact he was shadowing someone and won't get paid. I am not impressed. But I think he has got the wrong end of the stick completely. Because he did not tell them when he wanted to work, he has now not got any work, again another misunderstanding on his part, they did ask at interview but he didn't realize the importance of saying what he could do!!
Oh well, he will get started soon.

Beautiful Bury St Edmunds!

I took these photos last night while taking a walk around the Abbey gardens. The flowers were beautiful!
The fields were on the way to Long Melford and they looked stunning with the purple plants. I have no idea what they are though !!

The last day .....

Here I am on my last day of my course, and to be quite honest I am sad about it ! I have had a great time, met some lovely people and really enjoyed myself.
Last night we had dinner at Cafe Uno, followed by the rest of the evening watching footy in the Kings Arms, a rough pub opposite the hotel ! It was great to watch Italy Stuff the Germans in the last minutes of extra time, so much better than going to penalties!
After the football we got chatting to a guy called Julian, a stunt butcher from Sainsburys via Weymouth!! He had a few to drink, his mate Martin was sober! We ended up in the pub until about 11.30pm and had a real laugh.

I've met Jill !!

Yesterday was a very exciting day, spent the most of it in class doing computer stuff. It was boiling hot and the pc's were chucking out a load of hot air as well.
I was so pleased to have finished for the day at 4pm. Had a strawberry frappachino with my new friends Ann and Lyn. We had a look around the shops and headed back to the hotel. I checked in and was given a really nice double room, but when I tried to open the window the lock would not budge, it was stiffling so the chap on reception swapped me into the room above, equally as nice with a window that opened!
In the evening I drove out to Long Melford. On the way I came across these feilds full of beautiful purple plants, I have no idea what the plant was but being a good scrapper I stopped and photographed the view. I will have to do some reseach.
I arrived at the Bull Pub and met up with Jill from A trip Down Memory Lane. We spent a very pleasant evening chatting about loads of things, we started outside but I was getting eaten by the mossies! We finished off inside and it felt like I'd known her for ages !I am very jealous that she and Mel are going to USA on a buying trip in January, what bliss!!
Got back to the hotel about 10.40pm got a text from Ann to see where I was, I then realised that the text was a delayed one as I had been in a bad reception area. SO around 11.30 they came back knocked on my door and had a cup of coffee!!
Had a very peaceful night.

Back in Bury.....

Here I am back in Bury. The journey here was good traffic minimal and did the journey in an hour and a half not bad for rush hour.
Tonight I am meeting Jill in a pub in Long Melford. Will be great to meet her!

Lost my Mojo..

I have not scrapped for weeks now, and I have a ton of lovely photos to do. I just don't get enough time to get the stuff out, its starting to depress me, I want to do it. Perhaps its the summertime holding me up.
Sometimes I look at all the lovely layouts that my online friends do and I really want to be able to emulate them, BUT I think my reason for scrapping changes. I go though heavily artistic periods where I want to do frilly, heavily embellished pages, but by and large I have photos that are not always extrodinary, but they tell a story and I want to be able to use a large number of them to do so. SO I find it hard to do single photo pages unless its only a single photo that says it all. Generally I have to use more !!
I do try but the harder I try the worse things get. Perhaps after 7 years Scrapping has run its course and I will have to consign all my equipment to the loft along with my cross stitch stuff, quilting stuff etc.
I feel quite sad, I hope it come back, but I think I have lost my way.

This is Hunny, she had been swimming in the river and I managed to capture her face on during a big shake to get rid of the water ! She loves the river and we try and take her down there most weekends.

Its been blimming hot !!

This weekend has been a scorcher, I mustn't complain as its likely to be all the summer we are likely to get ! It has been a busy one. After the disappointment of the football yesterday (all Toms fault for saying our bad luck at penalties couldn't continue!!) I spent the time today continuing with my mission to clear out my cupboards. We popped into Stevenage and bought a couple of new dinner services and have finally got rid of the load of mismatched crockery that I have collected over the years. The problem was that they were the last two left in Argos and they couldn't remember where they had hidden them. So we stood at the counter dripping with sweat and feeling increasingly pissed off as people came and collected their goods. When eventually a member of staff came over and said they would have to offer a refund as they were lost, at precisely the same time as they appeared.

New Everything!!

This week we finally had word about our new three piece suite HURRAH, In the new years sale we bought a new leather suite, we took delivery of it in March and within 24 hours found that there were hole under the arms of the sofa and that the manufacturer obviously knew as they had tried to fix the holes with staple. So we complained and after a long winded process managed to get a replacement suite and a £100 reduction. In the mean time we had the incident with the water leak and the insurance company have also this week agreed to replace the living room carpet. So now we can change colours completely in the front room, I am thinking mink and beigey brown colours, with a smattering of green thrown in. What I really need to do is get one of those booklets with what is trendy and look at their colour combinations. Watch this space...

Today is also Panshanger Village day, an event that is usually a wash out, this year looks like bucking the trend. They have very optimistically (in my opinion) decided that it will be held from 2pm to 5pm. The problem being England kicks off at 4pm, so I can't see there being too many people hanging around after 4. I just pray that the country dancing is on early or I'll have to stay and watch Beth who is performing !!!

That was a night that was !!!

Well last night we went out on the town, we had dinner at Cafe Rouge and then took a wander around the town, eventually ending up in the Kings Arms, a really rough pub that was great fun !! had a few Port and lemonades and a great laugh with two new friends Lyn and Ann. This morning we were up early had breakfast, checked out and took a walk around the market I have bought the two little ones a small gift .
Will be heading home this afternoon.
Next wewek on my return I will be spending an evening with Gill from a Trip down Memory lane !! I love doing these courses I must try and do more !!

Away from Home!!

This past few days I have 'Been away'!! It started last Friday when we took advantage of our Sun special holiday offer, weekend away for £9 each person. We ended up with a great break in a caravan in Corton on the east coast between Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth.
The Caravan and site was very nice, with a big 'heated' swimming pool (not hot at all!!) A slide, a babies pool. Inside there was a club house and an arcade. We spent Saturday at the pleasure beach in Great Yarmouth which pleased Beth. We got burnt even though the sun wasn't out!!
Sunday we went out for the day with Fran, Pete and Becca. We had not seen them for years. It was our wedding anniversary (23 years) and Pete was our Best Man and Becca was one of the bridesmaids, so it was a great reunion.
We went out for lunch (their treat) at a fantastic restaurant called St Peters Brewery, in the middle of nowhere in Bungay. The food was great and the company was even better!!
After a very long lazy lunch we headed back to their place and sat in the garden chatting and drinking tea! Before we knew it, it was 10pm and I am sure we out stayed our welcome.
It was a fantastic day and it felt as if we had never been away for several years!! (caused by the distance and not the lack of friendship!!)
I am now on a course in Bury St Edmunds, staying at a lovely little hotel in the middle of the town. Three other folk from the course are also staying so I was able to eat out with them last night. We may well go to the pictures tonight !!

One of those Days.....

Today started off badly and got worse!! I had a 9 o'clock appointment at Tesco's, at the end of the meeting I managed to break my shoe, so luckily because I was in Tesco's I was able to replace buy a new pair, but this put me back time wise. Once I got to my next meeting at 10am I realised that I had left all the paperwork on the customer services desk in Tescos!!
Thank goodness Steph was able to go and collect it for me.
Tonight Beth played netball again and although they played well they were beaten by the other team, 6 - 3 . Why is it that whatever the weather is like everywhere else in the world, that sports pitches are always freezing cold?? We got to net ball in bright shining sun and within ten minutes it had changed to blowing a gale, heavy skies and the threat of rain!
Tom is nearly finished at work, he has just three days left and then he will be a General Motors pensioner, hurrah!! Can't wait until we can get ourselves sorted out financially, with a little over. Bet no bloody double glazing salesmen call now we want to buy some!
Good news as well, the insurance company have agreed to replace the front room carpet, so they are going to come around next week to measure up.

First Holy Communion Day !!!

Well it finally arrived, the long awaited day for Beths Holy Communion. Tom and I were up at 7am to get the food sorted out and in the end we managed it with no problems. Laura and Scott came around at 10am and helped us by sorting out the plating of the sarnies and getting some of the other food ready. We left for church at 11.00am and we weren't the first to arrive!!

Beth looked beautiful in her dress and tiara! The house was all decked out in party style.
We had a great day !!

Back at the house the food was good, and we couldn't beleive how much food we had left over, looks like Tom will be on sarnies all week at work !!!

Another Busy Week..

It has been another busy week charging here there and everywhere. Work has been busy , home has been busy and its not over yet !
Beth is taking her First Holy Communion this weekend and there seems to be a ton of stuff to do with regards to that. We are having a lunch time 'reception' here afterwards and I still haven't done any shopping. It seems very daunting but I will get there. The first problem was trying to get hold of a gazebo so We will have some protection if the weather is unkind, Tried Argos, Homebase,Focus,Woolies, all out of stock. Finally found a couple of the cheap ones at Asda. The garden needs blitzing and the trampoline is going to need to be moved up the side of the house, the chairs need cleaning, I don't think I have enough paper plates, and I forgot to get any pudding bowls, add to that the fact that Sunday is fathers day, my brain is under a great deal of strain!!!
So all I have to do now is all the shopping, clean the house, sort out the garden, do the cooking, and the most awful task of all WASH and BRUSH Beths Hair !!

Well I have started.....

Last week I decided to start back at Slimming world. I have lost count of the number of times that I have started and finished and fallen off the wagon. Well I am hoping this time that I will stick with it, I feel in a better frame of mind, long may that last. I have a few things I want to be able to do, such as go on all the rides at Disney next year without worrying if I will be okay!! It will be good for my health and having seen how dad has been so ill, I would rather not have to go through what he has been through (He is far stronger that I will ever be) So now is the time to sort myself out.
I have got off to a good start with the first week seeing me 9lbs lighter. I love the boost the first week gives you. Its going to be a case of sticking with it. On the plus side I have found the weather has helped, its too hot to eat !
I have not experienced any yearnings for chocolate as yet, and I have not touched any cakes or biscuits I will have to find a way of coping with that when it happens, at the moment my resolution is very strong. Fingers crossed !!

Another Result !!!

This is Carl.
I am so pleased with this photo, I managed to get my 15 year old son to agree to have his photo taken,It took a lot of badgering on my part, but he finally agreed. Again I took loads of photos but I was pleased to be able to get three usable photos' with this one being my favorite !

I have decided to make a display using the photos of Laura and Scott I took the other day. I was so pleased with them particularly as Scott finds it so difficult to relax, he understandably feels self conscious. Laura is fairly used to me snapping her at every turn so she relaxes into it far quicker. It was her idea that I did this latest photo shoot !

What a sorcher !!

Brogan,Beth and Megan making the most of the good weather
bouncing the night away !!

Come On England !!

Well this weekend has been a really hot one, not that I am complaining but I find that everything you do takes twice as long and you end up sweaty and horrible. On Friday I did all the downstairs house work but by this afternoon it needed doing again, its like painting the Forth Bridge !!
Beth was excited yesterday about the football, she wanted to get dressed up with full face paint. She had only had it on for a few minutes when she got the itches and I had to wash it off. Still being a good mummy and scrapbooker I did get the photos taken first !!

I am so pleased with this shot....

I did a photo shoot at home last week and out of about 50 shots I got this one of Laura and Scott. I am so pleased with it. Laura looks happy and Scott has his eyes open ....Result !!!

Today has been so hot, not that I'm complaining or anything, but its just that I have had to do all the house work. I slogged on until 2pm and then called it a day. I managed to get all the plants planted and I have just finished watering them. I hoover and dusted all the down stairs, but now it looks as if I have done nothing !!
Its so bloody annoying. Kids seem to think that its ok to do just what they want.
Still I am not going to let them get to me!! I am going to do some scrapping, I have not done any for ages and I now have loads of photos waiting to be 'done'

Hurrah I am back in !!

Blooming windy down on the front!!

I have been trying all week to update my blog but for some reason Blogger was playing up. So now I am hopelessy behind and can't think how long it wioll take me to catch up!
I have had a busy week at work, with a trip to Bury St Edmunds, on the hottest day of the year so far. It is so annoying to think that we could have done with this weather last week. I seem to have spent all the week trying to catch up with myself, thats the problem with coming back off of holiday with a million things to wash!!
Here are few shots from my holiday, I can still feel the cold in my bones!!

Back from our holiday

We are now home again after a bit of a week !!
Last Saturday night we went to Keith and Nickys Wedding Reception, deep in the wilds of Melbourne, Cambs. It was a great evening. Nice to see mum and Dad out and about, Dad seemed to enjoy himself and managed to drive there and back with very little trouble. He has got the hang of his hand controls and likes to be able to get out and about again.
We left for Whitby at around 10pm and arrived there for 1.30am
